Lemongrass Tres Leches

My partner and I were so pleasantly surprised at how incredible this dish was- the mixed textures and unusual (but wonderful) flavor combinations were such a treat. Loved having a dessert option that stepped out of the box. Would highly recommend!

Japanese Sweet Potato

I'm going to lose sleep at night trying to figure out how they got these potatoes to have such a crisp, flaky exterior while being so smooth and custardy in the middle. Like, please, Lilith, teach me your ways, I need to know. The bearnaise was a great balance of richness and acidity, and the roe gave fun little pops of salinity, both of which complimented the almost dessert-like sweetness of the potato. If their actual desserts weren't also phenomenal, I'd almost recommend ordering this again for after your entree as well. But their desserts are indeed fantastic, and you should get those too. Look, I get it, there's a lot of cool stuff on this menu. A lot. And I get that sweet potatoes may not be the most "eye-catching" pick. But, if you've read along this far and take anything away from this silly little rant, it's that you should NOT overlook these potatoes.

Honeynut Squash Ravioli

Delicious, savory ravioli. The addition of the crispy mushrooms provided a subtle crunch to the dish that was just superb. Highly recommend!

Yuca Pierogi

My husband and I had these pierogis at the recent Best Buddies event. Even in such a rushed atmosphere, the presentation was beautiful. The yucca filling had a perfect texture with a delicious flavor inside the tender dough. The Romesco sauce was a perfect complement to the pierogi both in appearance and in flavor. Will definitely order these in my next visit to the restaurant

Yuca Pierogi

Hands down the greatest pierogi I have ever had, and as a lifelong Pittsburgher, I have had many. The sauce compliments the pierogi perfectly and three was a great amount to share.

Tuna Tartare

The Tuna Tartare is absolutely phenomenal. A dear friend and I tried the tuna, the yuca pierogis, and the filet. The tuna has been stuck in my mind since we went. The dish itself is prepared beautifully, but the flavor outshines any wow factor the appearance gives. The tuna is fresh, bright, and flavorful. I am not a tuna person but I want to come back just to have it again it was that good. The other dishes at Lilith were amazing, but the Tuna has been stuck in my mind since. I appreciate the lovely dining experience and the amazing quality of the meal.

Fancy Lobster Rolls

The cutest little lobster roll I have laid my eyes on. Delicious lobster sandwiched within a perfectly baked, golden roll -- what more could you ask for? Always a go-to choice when I dine at Lilith.

The Baked Alaska was one of the most fun desserts I've ever had. The textures and flavors were great, the presentation was perfect, and I've thought about it many times since enjoying it.

Fall Salad

I could've eaten this salad all night. The basic formula is, I think, familiar enough: the greens are darker and earthier, the apple elements add brightness with sweetness and acidity, and the goat cheese provides richness and a little bit of sumptuous texture. That's a combination I like, and I would've been very happy if this had simply been a well-executed version of that familiar dish. Instead, and in a way I can't fully account for, there was another level of the dish that was savory and substantial in an almost meaty way. I can only guess that it was some alchemy that was catalyzed by the pickled cherries; whatever it was, it added an unexpected and seriously satisfying layer to a dish I thought I already knew. In my opinion, this takes a lot of professionalism, this act of taking a good thing and finding a way to embellish it even further while still keeping in place all of the goodness of the original. I can't say this about a lot of salads, but for me this was a highlight of our meal.
